There’s a poetry in this Black Girl Magic!

This inauguration feels a little something like a college graduation; there’s a similar sensation.

Waking up to the sun shining like melanin on my skin! Today, every black girl wins!

And my daughter, so young and impressionable, will one day know that nothing is impossible.

That Black girls are limitless powerful queens!

And we should always mean what we say

and say what we mean.

Because teamwork clearly does make the dream work and we are in this thing together!

Adjusting each other’s crowns

instead of pulling each other down!

We are love!

And we are limitless in our gifts and talents!

There is no task we cannot achieve!

Because black girls really are magical!

Black girl just have to believe! 🪄 💜
